Bob and Lin Boudreaux brought different backgrounds to their business. Bob grew up in his father’s auto repair shop, owning his own since the age of 23, while Lin’s field was marketing and care of customers. Together they set the goal of providing auto repair with a reputation for Excellent Personal Customer Service. Lin additionally required the shop to make it easy for women to deal with auto repair; the SHUTTLE service was created.
"On-going education is critically important to being a great shop, thus equipping our business to offer the best value to our customers. Besides the testing and certifications through ASE (Automotive Service Excellence), the gold standard for our industry, our membership in the AC Delco TSS (Total Service Support) program provides training seminars to keep our technicians and service writers on the cutting edge of automotive service. We also have educational opportunities through our affiliation with TIAA (Texas Independent Automotive Association), a Texas network of family-owned independent repair shops providing quality services to their neighborhoods. AutoWorks follows a Code of Ethics which outlines professional business practices."

| We are proud members of Rotary International and particpate in varied local community events. AutoWorks was one of the city's first "Green Garages" which recycled all recyclable automotive fluids and parts. Consequently in 1989, AutoWorks became a charter partner in Leon Valley's newly formed "Earthwise Living" and continues to participate annually, sharing ways for event goers to "Keep Your Vehicle in Tune With the Environment". Also, since 1996, Bob, as an ASE Certified Master Technician, has taught quarterly Continuing Education classes for NISD, the largest school district in San Antonio. He teaches attendees basic automotive maintenance and how to ask the right questions when communicating with a repair shop to obtain the best results." |
